Here are the basics of each committee. We are a pretty tightly knit group. So don't be surpised to see committees overlapping on programs. Look here for committee specific news and highlights.
Membership: Recruit new members Keep track of member status Develop/maintaining of new member packet
Telecommunications: Maintain WMAE website Establish and maintain communication with other NSBE chapters Maintain chapter email list
Fundraising: Identifying and developing chapter funding sources. Identifying mechanisms for fund-raising
Public Relations: Identify other engineering student/professional organizations for publicity and/or support Establish interface mechanisms with the above mentioned organizations when expedient and viable Establish mechanisms to define resources of the WMAE by industry and vice versa.
Education/PCI: Lead development and maintaining of programs that teach study skills, allow for alumni mentoring sessions, and aid with finding academic scholarships for NSBE student chapters and grade school affiliates. Support and encourage NSBE alumni members in the pursuit of advanced degrees. Maintain chapter email list
Planning: Develop and maintain planning sheets for WMAE chapter With guidance from the Executive board, maintain planning goals for the chapter for the upcoming year Keep chapter members informed of upcoming events and additions/deletions to the plan for the year
Leadership and Training: Develop and maintain Leadership Training Plan with planning committee chair Conducting Leadership Training Sessions Inform general body of local seminars and workshops with regard to the subject |
